...I'm finally out of the modding game and have moved on to something a little more sensible and fuel efficient. It's still sporty and fun...but nothing like the gst :( The gst was a great car for 2.5 years(only needed to be towed once :P ...damn ebrake cable), but it was time for something with a warranty, better on gas and better in crappy conditions. I have to admit, it's nice not cringing everytime I'm about to roll over a pebble or slight imperfection in the road!

So...the new ride is a 2007 Subi Impreza 2.5i! I went into the dealership just to take a look around and see if there were any reasonable cars lying around...and found this nice piece of metal tucked tightly away in the back of the new car lot :) I talked them down from 19,500 to 17,800, put 5k down on it, and drove it off the lot paying only 230 a month }( Sorry for the crappy pics in advance...haven't broken out the digi cam for it yet...









Consequently, my gst is now for sale and would like to offer 2gnters the first shot at it! In a nutshell for those who don't know my car...99 black gst, 5 speed, black leather, 52500 miles, and light mods...I'm looking to get 6k for her. If interested pm me and mods I'll put together a formal fs ad tonight when I get back to my apartment and can get all of the info and pics together :thumbsup

Congrats on the pickup Dave. You're the second Jersey DSM'er to pick up an impreza as a DD, lol. Looks good hope you enjoy it and one day come back to the DSM game

The impresas are a nice little awd car. If I were to pick an brand new car out of a dealership, I would probably buy that one, since its so cheap.

Thanks Corey! I definitely will miss the performance of the gst...that goes without saying. It's just not a practical car for me right now. One day I imagine I'll pick up a 2g gsx that is in desperate need of restoration as a project car }(

Yeah, I really can't complain about the deal. I get all wheel drive, a warranty, and decent power for an outstanding price. The subarus are really making quite a name for themselves right now! And you can't ask for anything more out of a daily driver...it's quiet and comfortable...and has a nice soft clutch for those afternoons when I'm stuck in stop and go traffic ;-)

Plus im sure a few light (not warranty voiding) mods and you could get a little extra punch right? just looking at that exhaust makes me feel claustrophobic.

congrats on the new ride. Picked up my 07 LGT about 4 months ago. Problem is the gas mileage is not where I expected it to be. I assume the non-turbo's are much better though.

I've got an 04 WRX wagon that's a ton of fun to drive (when the wife lets me) much better looking nose IMO. Probably gonna have to sell it tho so we can afford a house :(

My front end is sexy on the LGT. I'm not to much of a fan of a Impreza front though.

Agreed, I think the front end could use some better styling! I don't mind it though...it's my daily driver and that's about it. Gas mileage is wayyyyyy better than my gst...I'm now seeing about 400+ miles on a full tank. The gst was only seeing about 275 on a full tank...I was filling her up twice a week ;(

And I do have to admit that I'll probably come back to dsm's once again when money is more abundant. I just can't afford to have one right now :(
