Well I have had my new Legacy for about 4 months and it has already been hit twice. Once at work and the other time I'm pretty sure happened yesterday at work. Both times in the same place on the drivers side of the front bumper. I just got the bumper fixed from last time maybe a month ago. Thinking about getting a beater because this crap is pissing me off. Just needed to vent...

does the dealership you work at not have cameras covering the lot? find out who did it. If they are parking where you park, they should be employees.

I haven't noticed cameras. Maybe that's why 5 sets of supercharged full size Range Rover wheels were stolen and all the cars were on blocks. These wheels are $5-6,000 a set easy.
I hate considering selling a car I just bought but I hate the payments, gas mileage isn't what I hoped it would be and gas prices are going up a lot. I miss the VR4 and I even think about getting another 2gnt again as a DD. The 2gnt was a great car before I turbo'ed it and I never had issues. Good gas mileage to. The VR4 was just silly fun. I like having a new car w/ a warranty though. Can't have everything I want. I swear I'm never happy w/ what I'm driving.

My 2g has been hit five times, each time I was at a total stop (0 MPH). I think some cars are just jinxed

-rear-ended by dumb girl at an intersection at school
-rear-ended by mercedes as I was putting gas in at a gas station
-rear-ended by an integra in stop and go traffic
-side-swiped by my grandma in her giant senior-citizen-sized buick
-side-swiped/rear-ended by anatomy professor at school (my car was parked, he left a note!)

My 1991 toyota celica GT has you beat... :( I owned the vehicle for 9 months, and it managed to get hit 7 times...

-2nd week of owning it, woman backs in to me at school parking lot, with me in the car, waiting for a huge line to move, crushes door.
- month later, friend of mine gets antsy over some little kid whistling at his girlfriend from the side of the road, stops, i stop behind him, he floors it in reverse.. Needless to say, after insurance settlement, hes no longer my friend.
- After that happened, i was pissed, so i went to a friends party, got hamsauced, crashed at his apartnemt, woke up to a nice basketball size dent in my rear bumper, like the person next to me turned too early while backing out, and caught me with their front bumper.
-2 broken windshields from baseballs flying over from college practice, i was parked in the "baseball safe" parking. May as well have been hit, each windshield was $550 shipped and installed..
-rear ended in a school zone. I was doing 20, she must have been doing 45 from the looks of the damages.
-Insurance finally settled, got my rear bumper fixed. While driving home from the body shop, at a stop light, an illegal mexican woman with no insurance rear ended me so hard.. every control knob on my dash popped off, my sunglasses ended up in my lap, while my hat flew into my back seat, along with my ciggarette tray from the dash. Whiplash is a bitch.
-I bought it back from insurance, after they totalled it out for $4,200. I bought it for $75, it ran perfectly, but the bumper hung straight down. I put a for sale ad in the paper for $900, the first guy to come look at it paked behind me in my driveway, somehow left his car in drive as he got out to look at it, and hit it one last time. Bumper fell completely off, he gave me $900, and an apology, drove away with my car on a trailer, leaving the mangled rear bumper. lol.

Thank god i got rid of that car... The eclipse led such a happier life.

Doesn't your dealership have a designated lot away from clients/customers? At the dealership I work at, our employee parking lot is towards the back where none of our clients can get to.

sorry about your getting hit, again, turbo subies are kinda tricky to get good gas mileage out of, mostly in how and where you drive, foot to the floor means alot of gas (DUH) but also granny driving seems to suck it down just as fast. they're all about happy mediums, i get decent mileage in mine if I get a little boost before shifting, just enough revs to prevent bogging after the shift.

ez, I have never heard of one car having such a gravitational pull to other vehicles, I've probably bumped and been bumped the same amount as you with my 2g but most of my issues have been conditions affecting traction, only one standing bump and that didn't do anything

I understand your frustration. I've had my car for 2 uneventful years now and it got 'brushed' on the passenger rear corner just a few months ago. It buffed out leaving minor blemishes, so it didn't bug me. It happened at a grocery store some time.

However, the day I got back to work from Atlanta, someone did the same thing in the parking lot at work, but on the right front. This time it's a little worse. I haven't cleaned it off yet because I want to get a look at the few cars that park near me to assess if they are the ones that did it. I even had a scuff on my tire from these fuckers.

When I first got my GST in december my step dad backed into it the first weekend I had it. It needed a new hood, lights, and fender.

the one time i didn't park the X in reverse at school was about a week ago and wouldn't you know some asshat scuffed the rear bumper on the pass side. Nothin too bad, too lazy to see if it buffs out.

Not bothering to find out who did it, my friends dad runs a garage/body shop here in Rockville so i'll prob just get him to make one of his spanish dudes buff it out when the weather gets nice.

And how the fuck does your dealership not have cameras, especially after having multiple sets of wheels stolen? Thats just fucking dumb or an inside job trying to scam the insurance.

I jumped on a grenade once in college(ok more than once) About 2 weeks later. The grenade stops by my house and I have another chick there. My car was 2 or 3 days old from the dealership. the next morning I come out and have 3 keymarks from front fender to the rear quarter. A week later I see the bitch and with a smile she says how is your new car. I dont hit girls and that is the only reason she is still alive to this day.

I had my pledges climb under her house and cut a hole in her AC vents and put about 10 dead fishes inside it took weeks for them to figure it out. and the smell the smell....

holy crap Nine5, that's insane, I had a 96 integra gsr sedan that had problems with people hitting it, sold it and the kid that bought it blew it up (but that's another story) When I bought the car, other than needing a really good cleaning from the previous owners cannabis habit, the exterior was perfect with the exception of a few tiny dings that are normal for any car that age. few weeks later I noticed the edge of the drivers door was bent in and I know I hadn't bumped any other cars. about two weeks after that, someone in my building had a party, the next morning I noticed that the drivers rear quarter panel and bumper cover were scraped and pushed in 2-3". A month later I had a near perfect impression of a california license plate on the passenger side of the rear bumper and it was pushed in an inch. I waited almost 6 months later and finally a lady in a brand new maxima in front of me threw her car in reverse at a stop and took out my drivers headlamp, she said I hit her, insurance believed her, I got hosed. couple of weeks after that it snowed a freak out of nowhere storm and I slid into a car at a stoplight and killed the passenger headlamp and slightly tweeked the hood, got out of any insurance issues on that one cause a few miles up the road the same car I bumped was totalled by a plow truck (big dumptruck style) sliding into the back end. Finally, before I sold the car I was backing out of the parking lot at my wife's work looking all around cause it's a bad lot to begin with, and some lady comes flying through the lot at approx 45mph and nearly takes off the back end of the car, bumper's barely hanging on, half ripped open like a canopener had been taken to it, got hosed on that one too

Yep... I really hate female drivers, ive been hit a total of 12 times. One was my fault for not being more cautious in the snow. But out of those twelve times, 9 of them were women, one of them was a hit and run so i dont know what gender. Its bullshit that males have to pay higher insurance rates.
