You forgot the sell it and buy an Evo option

It all depends on what you wanna do, we can't decide for you what car to buy.

Do you want a nice reliable daily driver?
Do you want a monster that may or may not be reliable?
Do you want something with 4 doors so you can actually bring passengers along?
FWD or RWD?
Luxury/Comfort?

Gotta figure out what's the most important to you.

Either way, if you sell the 2gnt, it won't even be enough for a downpayment on a new car, lol. That's why I didn't bother selling mine :)

What is the condition of your car? Like the case with my car is, is that I'm probably not going to build it up because of all the rust it has on it. I will probably buy another car to build up someday instead.

I like how none of you know anything about his car. It could run amazing, and be one hell of a car, yet everyone here is telling him to sell it and buy a different car.. Hooray 2gnt.com :thumbsdown

P.S.
Build it.

Man up and turbo it or build an NA playtoy. I'm currently in the process of ditching my automatic and swapping in a manual tranny. Everyone here thinks I'm crazy and should sell it. Alas it is paid for and I love it.

If it's in good shape and paid for, I'd keep it and throw a turbo on it. If you do get rid of it though, sell it to someone not in your area. It always sucks seeing somebody driving around having fun in a vehicle you used to own!

That's why mine's still hanging around :)
Plus now I can learn to tear the engine down myself and if I screw up, oh well, it's not my dd it can always be fixed in time :D

Well the car it self could use a little bit of body work not much though, just throw on a new bumper and the front fenders, other than that it runs great still. Plus there is absolutely zero rust on it, i bought it out of state so it didn't suffer from Ohio winters.

Also the reason the option sell it and buy an evo wasn't in there was because thats just too damn expensive for me, the payment and insurance would be too much for me while I'm in school.

I hear ya, my entire tax return (almost $2k) is going straight to insurance, and by the time I start working this summer I'm going to owe ~$3k to my parents for putting out the monthly payments for now. Stupid expensive cars. It can always put a smile on my face though, so I guess that's all that matters. BTW if you really were interested in an Evo you can get a used 8 for <20k insurance will probably still be a killer though unless if it is put under one of your parents names or something.

Any insurance is going to eat you alive with it being an Evo, 350Z or a Mustang.

Actually an Evo might even be cheaper then the mustang or 350 since it is a 4 door and not a 2 door coupe. If your under the age of 24 which I know your are Mike, you get raped with insurance.

Your car has a lot of miles on it if I recal. You should just rebuild it and keep it IMO.

Funny thing about that is the insurance companies are apparently wise to this. Someone just posted on evom the other day that they checked on rates and it was cheaper for them to insure a new c6 than a new Evo

yeah that was me. I live in MD. My friend sold his STi and bought a C6. Told me insurance was a lot less. I say it's because plenty of youngers drivers buy an EVO but you rarely see anyone under 25 or even 30 buying a new vette.

Yeah that was what I figured the reasoning for it was too.

ooo I miss that phrase. :-). If you're still in school you answered your own question. Keep it and leave it alone until you graduate. Car isn't going anywhere and you don't need a new car payment while in school.
