22061, Opinions on this color Posted by Dualgen2, Mar-14-07 06:31 AM
I change my mind a lot but I miss my VR4 and I'd love to get another one. It was just a bad daily driver and now that I have a DD, the VR4 could be a "tuner" or "weekend" car. Also the fact that it was green wasn't that appealing. What do you guess think of this color? It's actually a car for sale w/ pretty low miles, new tires, brakes, etc. Wasn't planning on buying a car so soon but spring is here and if I got another VR4, I'd want a rare color like this.
EDIT: I'm an attachment BANME! it;s below my sig

Ah, not too bad. Sort of reminds me of the color our cars come in. Barcelona red???
I really like the black ones, but I bet they are hard to find.

I'm in no serious rush to buy a car. It would be nice to find something soon, since the weather is getting nice. All I know is I want a rare color and rare colors usually cost A LOT more. I believe that color is called Serento Red, similar to Barcelona, hence why I asked you guys. I also really like the 2nd gen blue. To much $ for this one but sooooooo clean.....

I'd drive it, it's a decent color, looks like the paint is in fairly good condition. Course what matters is if you like the color, or can live with it enough to buy the car. personally I'm more picky about the interior color (In the process of changing my 95 rs interior to black. Hail Krylon!)

Agreed. My last VR4 had tan leather. I'd like to get black leather but it's obviously much harder to find or on exterior colors I don't want (like red). Couple other cars I'm looking into also.

I got that pic off google since you guys aren't members of 3si. The one for sale is very clean though. Located in Hershey, PA. 87k, new brakes, tires, alternator, battery.... $10,000. Good deal IMO considering most 97-99 GSX's go for that much. I bought my green one in early 05 for $11,000 w/ 75k miles but it's green and the green ones tend to be cheaper. I like the color but I think I'm more concerned about the interior color. I'd love to get black. In the meantime I need to figure out if I need to download the daily driver, which I love, or if I can spoil myself and have both w/o downgrading.

Dude, as long as the body is straight and the interior is clean, I'd be all over it.

That seems to be a pretty rare color. I would jump all over that. Reminds me of the very first Dodge Stealth I ever saw. Fell in love that day!!
GET IT DAVE!!

E39A FTW.
(I've got the same light pod, now.) Wo0t!
But for you straight line guys...

Four doors. Full trunk. You don't know what you've been missing until you've got them. These are just sweet cars. (Although the 3KGTVR4 is tits too. Guy in my complex has a white one. I don't think he's spotted another VR4 yet.) ;)

I like the GVR4's Driggs but they are hard to find, to expensive or in crap shape around here. IF I ever bought a 2nd car I want something rare, older sports car, and CLEAN.

R32 GTR FTW. Really rare, awesome handling car, plenty of power and easy to make more, could probably be had for mid to upper teens.

Who legalizes them anymore and I'm sure it costs a lot more. I know one or 2 people here that have them but I thought they paid more like 30 grand including car and legalization. Could be wrong though. In japan skylines are very cheap.

I meant buying one from somebody that has already went through the legalization process. The only ones that can be imported and used on the highway are the R33's, and currently I don't think anyone is even doing that. I heard about a shop on the east coast, in VA I think, that was doing it, but I've never seen any proof.

there's an asshat out here in parker colorado with an R34 that tears through my neighborhood at 60+mph in a 25 where kids play, it's fully legal and registered, down south in colorado springs there's a guy that has an R32 and an R34 both legal and registered

Maybe the gtt r34's, but probably not a gtr. There were only 12 gtr r34's imported and legalized. I'd like to some day own a gtr r34. Maybe they will be legalized later on down the road.

Found an R33 GTS for sale in NJ. 1995 w/ 65k, bpu mods. Wants $30,000 though. Guess it's Supra $ and a much better car IMO.
