There is nothing wrong with being overweight, but that is ridiculous. I put the full blame on the parents, it's not like she woke up like that one day. They could have done something.

The typical citizen doesn't really know how to do anything anymore, for that matter. Balance a check book, make healthy decisions, use critical thinking skills, or exercise the slightest degree of moral judgment. Everytime you do something stupid, just plead "I'm a victim"

in great britain (england) child protective services have been talking about taking an 8 yr. old boy away from his mother who already weighs 200lbs...

i remember seeing the same girl in a video when she was 5... (200lbs)....

That makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. At that age it's not quite the responsibility of the child to make decisions about their health and nutrition. At that age it's still up to the parents to make sure the child is learning correct nutrional habits. I can bet her parents aren't doing to well themselves. That shows a complete and utter lack of moral judgement on the parents part. She should be taken into foster care and work with a nutionist to return to a somewhat healthy weight. From then hopefully she can maintain somewhat of a healthy lifestyle from that point on. The unfortuneate part is, we as tax payers will be paying for the mistakes of the parents. She will have a lifetime of medical expense paid for by our deteriorating medicaid and medicare system. Not only that, this child will be incapable of being a contributing member of society, once/if she reaches that age. Those parents should be brought up on charges of child abuse/neglect and taken to jail! Yet, our wonderful criminal system will allow them to keep the guardienship of this child and continue to kill her slowly. What a sad, sad, situation.

You guys think she got that way by her parents just feeding and feeding an feeding her till she hit 400lb? Damn.. can you imagine how much you'd have to stuff your kid? Did they say she had a disease or anything? I cant imagine that she could just eat and eat and over 7 years get that fat. There has to be something wrong with her thyroid or something else contributing. My jeans(sp?) make that impossible from which I’m eternally grateful. It's hard to believe that ANYONE would let that just happen.

I'm not saying either way, but holy shit that's extreme.

Exactly. It has nothing to do with the parents SHOVING food down her mouth.
