There's no way to see all the incoming cars/bikes/rickshaws/donkeys so people honk as a courtesy to other drivers. Everyone drives with the windows down so they can hear better and gesture, etc. It's weird for us because we honk to say "fuck you" but over there its just a fact of driving. | |
