I was doing 10-12 hrs a day, 7 days a week almost all of last year. I ended up making $20K more than the year before. :P Was it worth it? Not really... But I got my Evo. ;)

i'm looking forward to getting back to the states and back to a normal 8-4 mission. 12-15 hours a day 7 days a week for another 300+ days...but again, we all gotta pay to play right? in the end, it'll all be worth it.

later

Many years ago I did 90's (2 full time jobs) for a while. Man I was a dick (I mean more so than I am now)! My patience level was so much lower and I would snap like a fuckin' twig and wig out.

I gotta go with Tony on this one.

Been there too. Back in the day I'd routinely work 100+ hour weeks - and ended up divorced lol. Even now although I only 'work' 8-5 M-F, I'm on call 24/7. Sucks.

I hear you. I had to do 100+ hour weeks when I was doing my surgery rotations. Most I clocked in was 114 hours. This includes being on call every four days - meaning I'd have 36 hour shifts every four days (no sleep). That's on top of the "regular" schedule the other 3 days, of getting up at 3:45am, and leaving the hospital at 7pm.

I have PTSD from that experience. dehumanizing bullshit. at least you all got payed.

I manage an Outback Steakhouse and I see nothing less than a 10.5 hour day, and its usually 12hrs+ 5 or 6 days a week. GRRRRRRR.

I feel your pain!

The only time I ever came close to working this much was when I was in college. I had a full 15-hour load, worked full time at night, and did my non-paid internship for 20-hours a week. However, that's still only 75 hrs.

Now I'm salary, so when that 40 hours hits, I'm out the door. I get paid based on 40 hours, so why am I going to work for free? If I'm 8 hours ahead come Friday, chances are I'm not coming in!
