My ex-boss Mike Kipnis died today and i've been feeling so down I figured I'd share the story.

He owned and managed a repair shop, Expert Auto Repair in palatine (silvernt maybe you've seen it? you'll prolly hear about this), and he was a great guy. He was only my boss for about 4 months, but I worked in a shop next to his since then and he's always been a great guy. He has a wife and a few kids, and just this week I believe he found out his wife was diagnosed with cancer. Feels like a bad dream, he was trapped in the shop after a car he was working on somehow exploded, knocking out a wall of the shop and trapping him. The rest of his employees got out, and the fire crew was heading into the building to rescvue him, but then they questioned the integrity of the building and had to pull out... the building didn't fall..

it sucks real bad losing a friend like that, I can't imagine how horrible it must've been... I know his family will be in my prayers, maybe some of yours too..

damn that sucks for the kids. is the wife terminal? losing their dad right when they find out they're losing their mom...
