I have that same Checker jack as you do. Don't ever pick it up by that plate on top (circled). I did it all the time and it eventually came off and the plate flew up and cut my forehead open. :P Other then that, it was the best 20 dollar jack set I've bought.

We have more than 3" of SLEET (not snow) here in Oklahoma City after the ice storm last weekend and heard on the news about possible 1"-6" of snow this weekend that shit is unusual here. You can play ice hockey anywhere here right now.

The jack is such a piece of garbage. The castors are the worst. After one use I had to modify one of them. Also if you don't have them rolling the right direction from the start, it will make things pretty damn scary. I need a new jack. That thing is the reason I dread working on my cars.

Yeah, it was a 19.99 special at Checker! hahaha!

The stands are your basic stands and I haven't really had any problems with the jack. I've carried the three of them around in my trunk for almost 3 years now and it's never failed me or left me feeling nervous. But it was 20 bucks, what do you expect? lol

Last week it snowed here in California - and I live in the middle of the desert. It's typical to get snow in our mountains, but not at my elevation. global warming my ass
