I'm selling the dsm. What a waste of my time and money. I never even got one good hard pull out of her after a year and $3000 worth of parts. Good riddance.

Edit: Any ideas for another kind of cheap quick newer model car for me to buy in a year when I need a car again?

Blah dont do it.

Never even getting one hard pull should give you the motivation to get it going man. Fix it, give it one hard pull and then I bet you wont sell it :)

A 1998 A4 2.8 Quattro is a mid 15 second car with AWD. It's exactly what I'm looking for. Something peppy with good handling. Also they only cost around 7k for what I'm looking for. My brother works at an Audi dealership and he is going to keep an eye out for A4's for me and make offers to people who come in with broke down, but otherwise good condition Audi's. Then fix it for me and sell it to me.

A complete and total nightmare to work on.

I plan on getting one in great mechanical shape and not having to work on it (other than routine maintenence). And yes, according to my brother, they are pain in the asses to work on.

2 years ago I bought my 99 mustang GT that went a 14.2 in stock trim on a slipping stock clutch with 140k miles. I paid $5600 drive out. Camaro's, Firebirds, and Trans-Ams are even faster for roughly the same price.

Best bang for the (cheap) buck, imo.

I have been looking into Mustang's also. Not a fan of the camaro/firebird/trans am styling, but definitely of the Mustang's. Plus v8's are such a beautiful thing.
