I truly feel like cars have personalities. The other day I went to replace the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder on my little brother's civic. Got both of those suckers out in about an hour. No problems. Completely clean. Keep in mind I had never touched anything clutch related before, and didn't have a manual for this. I can just feel this aura that this civic WANTS to run correctly. Like it's just happy and works with me as much as possible to make things right.

Now my car is the complete opposite. An oil change turn into an engine rebuild. And just because you changed out a gasket 20 miles ago, doesn't mean it's not leaking still. I have gone so far as to lecture my car before on how she doesn't want to be fixed, even though I am so nice to her and treat her right. At this point I probably sound totally insane but It's the truth.

You see, the thing is, maybe this 1G of yours got word of how you treated his brother back in the day. You know, Joe B. Clean NT? Remember that guy and how you beat on him and finally curb stomped his ass before chopping him up into little pieces and selling him on the black market?

I think Daisy's recent problems come from her growing up well cared for - always clean, always leak free, and then, as if out of the blue, she got sick and needed a heart transplant and things just never recovered properly. I'm hoping the more cosmetic proceedures I have planned for her later this year put her into a better mood. :D

Cars definately have feelings, if you don't give them a little attention once in a while they get pissy. I swear to god that my car runs better and with more pep when I change the oil or fill her up with 91 (CA :( ) and 91 won't do shit for my car performance wise, she just feels better cause I put the good stuff in her. Why do you think we name them after girls?

But my car is a bitch even though I'm nice to her. I do ALL the good boring maintence instead of upgrades which I want to do. I gave her a new interior (she was all ripped up inside), and I'm looking at replacing her oxidized spoiler. I keep her clean and even clean her engine bay with rags. I've probably spent about $100 on Castrol Syntec in the past 1000 miles from oil pan changes. Maybe I'm just smothering her. ;-)

They're temperamental at best, like any woman. You get short stints of absolute love followed by long bouts of bank account draining down time. At least 2G's still look good when whey are broken down in the back of the garage covered with an inch of filth. ;)
