azdave is the man. It's members like him that make this board what it is.
I haven't seen him around in a little while. I kind of miss his knowledge.

Dave has been busy installing his turbo system. ;)
And... he's got another DSM too. Let's just say that, within four days of it's arival at his house, he had six people asking if it was for sale, and it's got a windowed block under the hood.
Dave is the man.
EDIT:

hehe, That's because the talons were the only ones to come like that. ;) That talon has eclipse bumpers. Looks pretty nice. Just need to get the rear painted to match up. Oh, and windowed block means the engine block has a window, or door depending on how big the pieces were that went through it. hehe.

Might just be the pictures but you can actually see that the eclipse rear bumper is off-white in comparison to the rest of the car.
That is sexy tho
edit: oh yeah. I still have 3 of his videos saved on my harddrive. that led rear is the best thing ever.
editx2: Carbon fiber hood would set that thing off.

Thanks to all for the kudos...glad to know I'm hated in a good way. :)
I have been back east for a few days in Ohio and Indiana on a work trip/family visit.
The LED tails have been a blast to have on the car. I get people chasing me down to see where I got them and many offers to sell them (no way). I have been coaching a guy on making a set for his Eclipse so I'll soon have competition. He's doing a real nice job and should look comparable to mine. He may have them done by the end of the summer.
New Talon? It's Axa's old car that I'm going to resurrect after a blown motor ended its days up in Vegas. It came to me with a big hole in the block behind the starter, no front bumper, badly damaged fiberglass rear bumper and side skirts. I put some cheap, very used Eclipse front and rear bumpers on it so the neighbors would not complain about the car parked in my driveway being an eyesore. I'll probably keep the Eclipse front but the rear is likely to return to a Talon tail. All that will wait until the mechanicals are done on it. I'm swapping one of my used motors into it this holiday weekend if all goes well.
Yes, the turbo package I bought from thedawg over two years ago finally is seeing some action in my 98 Eclipse. I have more work to do obviously. For now, I'm running it on stock internals and low boost until I decide how far I want to go with the horsepower. I wish I knew boosted cars like I know electronics. I guess that will come with time. I've learned a lot in the last month for sure.

Yeah now that I've seen how clean your cars are, I feel bad selling you such a dirty turbokit. :+ Can't wait to see how it turns out! Hopefully I'll have my turbo beater up and running around the same time as a counter-example of how unclean a car can be.

Dave is definately the man!
His project inspired me -> I will be the 2nd guy with LED tails. They will be ready for MOD '06, so all you guys will be able to see them. My setup is a little different from Dave's, I'll have almost 900 LEDs total. I'll be able to scar retinas from a mile away. I finished the controller for it recently:

Oh yea, and I have a Knight Rider effect too :) I'll also had to make a heart beat effect (ya know I had to do something medical!)

Hey ez, I was in a hurry when I posted the last response and I couldn't remember if you had revealed here on 2GNT about the LED project (didn't want to let the cat out of the bag).
I'm not sure I can make MOD '06 but it sure would be cool to meet up and show off the LED projects together. I'm really interested to see how your lights and controller turn out.
I finally got around to linking some of my more requested videos on my website so they are easier to find (bottom of the page).

You guys should definitely record some video or take pictures from when you go to MOD.
I'm sure alot of people, including myself, would like to see it. :)

Lol, if they ever wanted to it would be over a grand considering the labor and how many LED's they use. Correct me if I'm wrong.

ha ha, I think Dave once told me $2000.
You guys have NO idea how much work this took! I think Dave spent $800 for materials alone. Not to mention the hours of planning and fabricating. Hand soldering 900 LEDs is awesome fun :twitch
Though, I could probably speed the process up if I were to do it again. Now that I can make the microcontroller easily, that takes out like 50% of the work involved.
