I just put this together, but it isn't going to do what i want it to. I'm debating whether to leave it up or just scrap the idea until i can find more suitable software, but i did spent two days working on it, so...

With trepidation, i give you:

The 2GNT User Blog

It pulls from the forum table, so you can log in with your current into. Anyone can post. Anyone can comment. No one can edit. No one can delete except me. I was working under the assumption that it would create a different page for each registered user, their own personal blog area, but it doesn't. Makes it less useful for what i was trying to accomplish ... But if you guys want to fuck around with it and see if there's even a point in keeping it... Feel free. it's there.

it attaches the username to the original post now.

Note you *should* be able to add attachments (pictures, etc) to the posts. I figure that'd be useful.

No. it was a project I was working on that I can't make perform the function I wanted, but it might still be useful. Right now it's a solution looking for a need.

But, despite the time I put in, if it's abused, it's deleted. No arguements. I'd rather watch rm -rf remove it than watch a bunch of soul sucking asshats make me look like a jagoff for creating it.

hmm so I made a quick car project update post, and then saved it, but now its in limbo and I can't get to it to post it up since it says I'm not allowed to edit it. yikes!

I figured as much... at the time I did not think I needed edit priviledges to publish a saved entry :)

Better yet, i'll just fix it, because you're supposed to be able to edit your own posts.
