11286, Anyone else go through withdrawal from their car?
Posted by cs82685, Jun-24-06 05:13 PM
I brought my car to have the 60k mile service two thursdays ago. Friday comes and I get a call about a tensioner breaking so they gotta order a new one, and say they won't get it until monday or tuesday. I tell the guy that's fine I'm gonna be in Orlando the following week for training so I don't need the car back right away.

So I go to Orlando and get a call on Thursday saying my crank pulley is frozen, guess he decided to not work on it for a couple days cause hey, I wasn't getting back till friday, so instead of finding this out on monday or tuesday, he doesn't find out until thursday when it's too late to get parts before the weekend. Now he tells me basically it has to be broken off and replaced so once again, it's not gonna be ready until this coming monday or tuesday.

I'm going through withdrawal, I just wanna drive my car and feel boost again. Driving my brothers SS camaro isn't even enough to subdue the feeling of wanting to drive my car even if it is slower.

I know the feeling. It's even worse because the Talon is sitting out in front of my apartment for me to see every single day, just begging me to drive it (but it's not insured and the tags are expired).

It gets even worse when I turn it on for it to run for a while.

I know how it feels except mine is withdrawal from my bike. Either my fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator has gone out cause the motor to flood. So, every time I walk out to my garage, I see my bike sitting there in pieces waiting on new parts to show up. I NEED TO RIDE!!!!

my TSI is down because of the same maintenance problem although it's nobody's fault, I just don't have the money right now but don't want to cheap out just so I have it running asap. So it'll sit for another month and meanwhile I'm driving my N/T which is kinda fun (can't explain why :D ) but nowhere near the rush I get from the TSI.

Rite before I left for boot camp I hooked my car up big time turbo exhaust, navi etc. The car was great. Then i left for boot camp and I had some withdrawl from the car along with everything else. I guess I am a huge car homo. I had a picture of my fiance and a picture of my car as seen in my sig. Those were my biggest withdrawls during those 2 months

I have not driven my car since March 2005. It works, nothings wrong other than it being slow.
