Ford Ripper Blue, Thunderbird Supercoupe, why special? its short wheel based... theres like only 5 of these ever made





if u check out the rear bumper u see 003 and above it it says short wheel base, basically its 8 inches shorter than stock i guess
Edit: its grabber blue not ripper blue, sorry ;)

My mom used to have one of those. It was T-boned on her wedding night. My step dads father was driving it and pulled out in front of someone. It was a nice car.

she had a shortened wheelbase one? cuz seriously theres only 5 ever made, well and one from 2 mark VII's that were put together i guess...
theyre like 8 inches shorter, customized by a company to be race cars but the project was abandoned or something, only like 3 are seen driven still today, one was recked on the track...

Wow, in high school my friend's dad had a regular one when they were new, it was the first reasonably quick car I had driven so I always have fond memories of those. I remember when they were talking about building the short wheelbase ones but didn't realize any ever made it to production. Thanks for posting the pix, great job spoting it!

yeah, that was the first car i drove manual in, was quite fun... definately a completely different feeling from driving my 2gnt haha
