9916, what is this noise???!! Posted by farmdogg55, Jun-06-02 05:14 AM there is a grinding/creaking sound coming from my front tires and i dont know what it is. it isnt a squeal, it sounds like something is grinding together. it happens when i turn my wheels and only happens after my car has been running for a while. i can usually go about 10mins of straight driving before i hear the grinding. it sounds really bad i want to know what it is. it seems to be worse in the rain too....doesnt do it as much when its hot out. i just went to midas last week and got new brakes and rotors, could they have done something to it??? anyone know what this is? please help, thanks in advance! | |

Posted by farmdogg55, Jun-06-02 08:13 AM i'm not sure...i thought when that is loose then you hear a squeal when you turn your wheels all the way in one direction?thats not what i have though .its a grinding noise when i first start to turn my wheel and continues until my wheel is almost as far as it can turn. i sprayed WD40 on the bolts behind the wheel(dont know the name of them) cuz i thought it might help, but NO! | |
