yes, 7" wide rims will accomodate 225 tires nicely... i would say the perfect tire for our car would be a 225/45/zr 17. seriously, there is still virtually no tire buldge in the side wall, but the tires make the rims look like 18's at least. go with that size, because it will also fill any wheel well gap.
