9639, I need to kno everything about coilovers please??
Posted by xEclipsE RaceRx, May-26-02 05:12 AM
So if I got some coilovers, something like Maxspeed or ground control, all I do to adjust them is use key and turn them right?

Do I have to jack up the car first before I adjust them?

How do you tell if its an even 2" on one side and an even 2" on the other?

Every time I adjust the height do I have to get an alignment or adjust my camber?

If I dropped it all the way down to 4" and I need to get a jack under the car to adjust it back up, how do I if its so low that I cant get the jack underneath the car?

Is it bad if drop the front like 2" and leave the rear stock?

Can my stock struts handle the 2-4" drop?

Ok TIA guys...im just a curious cheap ass, and dont want to buy sumthing unless I really know about it, cuz i aint got the cheese to waste.

Thats what they show...

Try squeezign your hand in a one inch gap, it just aint gonna happen

There are marks on the coilovers, you just have to match them up

Theoretically yes, when ever you lower raise the car it changes stuff. Adjustable camber kits will help with this.

I have that problem with a 2" drop, you have a friend push the jack under while you lift up on the car with your hands. Or buy a really low jack like I did.

If you do this I might have to hunt you down and kick your ass. This is an eclipse, not a chevy nova

>Can my stock struts handle the 2-4" drop?

For a short amount of time they will be OK, but they will blow out.
