does anybody have or know of a write-up on this? i just bought the energy suspension hyper-flex polyurethane system, the master (complete) kit (wow, all that in one breath). i'm looking to do this on sunday. any estimations on how long it will take? i have access to a lift and most mechanical tools, as i work in a gas station and that's where i'll be doing this.

I belive that installing that kit will be a very hard job to do, if i think you got what i think you did. You will have to use a special press to put in the new bushings too, and i remember hearing some people on here who did it had a very hard time with them. I *think* Dino has some experience with them, not 100% sure though..Good luck man, and let us know how they feel after installed..

hehe.. you'll need more than just a day to do the job and more than just yourself.. it took us from fri night till sun afternoon to do mine. The kit should come with all necessary instructions for installation also.. pretty straight forward.. remove old bushing with press or other means and lube up the new bushing with grease and press it in with a press.. also just be aware that your car will sqeak almost all the time and worse when its cold...

the "main" reason i bought it was to replace the bushings on the upper control arm that would make that "loud clunking noise from right rear" (see: http://www.2gnt.com/dcforum/DCForumID14/1612.html). i figured i would just get the whole kit while i was at it. i *knew* it was gonna be a PIA, but i said what the hell. what if i decided to get some place to do it; how much would i expect to pay. BTW, it's my father and i doing it, and the kit came with detailed instructions for the shifter bushings, but not the suspension bushings.

well it would probably be a good 6+hr job for an experience auto person. as for the instructions, im not sure as i was not the one determining where the bushings were going. but if you brought it to someone that had some better knowlege or experience in this sort of thing they shouldnt have a problem doing it.

Yeah definately give yourself a good amount of time to do it, I hear it takes a while...

I would suggest doing front and rear separate in case you need to spread the install over a couple days. You can then drive in between because the whole car is not apart.
