does anyone have instructions on how to replace the rotors and brake pads. i'm planning to replace mine with drilled/slotted brembo rotors and i'm not sure what kind of brake pads yet. any recommendations?

It's easy, just did this the other saturday. I did a little more than you (took off the calipers from the car, because I wanted to paint them, which means I had to bleed the brakes) so it'll be super easy for you because you don't have to bleed them.

Once you have your car on jack stands, and wheel is removed, remove the caliper guide and lock bolts (they are the bolts that have a G or L on them - and remember which went where because you need to put them back in the same place!!!) and remove the floating caliper. Don't let the caliper hang by the brake line, use a wire to hold it up or something.

Then loosen the caliper bracket retaining bolts. Take the bracket off.

The old disk should just slip off really easy.

You don't necessarily need new pads, if you do, they are easy - just slip them in.

Put on the new disks. (((The cross drilled pattern should go clockwise if you put your finger in the center moving outward, on the left side of the car. Counterclockwise for the right)))

Put on the caliper bracket. Tighten down to 65 ft/lbs.

Put on the floating caliper with the G/P pins (make sure they're clean). Tighten them to 65 ft/lbs too.

You are done!

how do you bleed the brakes

K, but you gotta gimme some stars (I don't know what they're for but I want em after my name)

You will only need to bleed the brakes if you take off the brake line. When putting the brake line back on, I believe you tighten to somewhere between 11 and 15 foot/lbs... I don't remember exactly. Then...

It's best if you have two people. On the floating caliper, you will notice on the top there is a little bleeder screw valve. that's because any air present in the caliper will rise to the top. Take the rubber thingie of the valve. Stick a tube on the end (like from an aquarium pump) and stick the other end into an empty water bottle (or anything that will hold the brake fluid-you do not want this stuff getting anywhere - be clean!) Loosen the bleeder valve slightly, have the other person press slowly on the brake, tighten the valve, have the person release the brake slowly, wait 15 seconds.
Repeat. Repeat until no more air come out of the tube. Do everything slow and don't pump the brakes quickly - this will cause very small air bubbles to get in the system which are impossible to get out w/o bleeding the whole system.

Check the brake fluid canister the entire time - making sure brake fluid is always in it. Don't let it run empty!!!! Use DOT 3 brake fluid to replenish what you bleed.
