Ok - Just got my Eibach Pro-Kit Springs for my 98 Eclipse Spyder GS. (1.6" Drop both Front & Rear)

I'm installing it this weekend. My question is "Do I cut the rubber Bumpstop in half or leave it alone"

My buddy who works on Honda's says to leave it alone. Only cut if your using Coil-Overs.

What did all you guys do. By cutting the Bumpstop does that give you more travel room which in turns is good right??

Thanks,
Mike

it is better to cut them, it gives you more suspension travel, and that is not bad. i didn't cut them, i haven't had any problems still, if i upgrade my front shocks then i will cut them, but I don't hit them still. you are not low enough i think for them to be an issue.

please post some picture and comments when you are done. I'm interested in lowering our spyder as well. Should be the same between GS and GST model right?

Ok - Will do. I'll have lot's of Photo's

The Eibach Pro-Kit is the same for the Spyder GS and Spyder GST.

The drop is rated at 1.6" but after it settles - should be around 2.0"

Thanks,
Mike
