I recently purchased pilot motorsports front/rear upper and rear lower bars. They installed easily. My question is about tightening them up after install. When you grasp any of the bars they rotate either clockwise or counterclockwise. Which way do I turn to tighten properly. It seems like counter clockwise pulls the struts closer, which way is correct....

Not sure with the Rear strut bar but when I install my Eibach Front Upper strut bar it was pretty simple. If you start turning one of the bolts at the end of the strut bar - you will see if it either start to get tighter or looser. You have a 50/50 shot. How hard is that. (If you turn it clockwise and it get looser then turn it the other way....How hard is that).

Also if I remember right. If it's clockwise on the left side of the strut bar then it's counter-clockwise on the right side of the strut bar and vice/versa.

Hope that helps. You want to make sure it's tight.

I think he's asking how when you twist one way, it lengthens the bar, and if you twist the other way, it shortens it. Which way is best for a tight chassis?? The towers pushed apart by the bar and pulled together? (ie: lengthen or shorten the bar??)

I would think you would want them pushing out since the springs transfer the weight to the top of towers, which in turn bend them inwards. Correct me if Im wrong!

I always thought that pushing them out would cause toe-in affect.. dunno really.. Good question. I pretty much left everything in a neutral state.. But since reading this.. Im going to play around with my front and rear bars. I'll let everyone know what I end up with.

hello everyone.. I just played with different settings all day.. I found that pushing them out in the rear are better and pulling them together in the front is best. You get more of a controled fishtail affect this way. letme know what you guys come up with.

Finally someone caught on to my Q, thanks weepul. I tightened (bar pulling inward on all three bars) I was under the toe in assumption as well. Still, it feels tight but wonder if thats the proper way to transfer the spring effect...
