I lowered the car 1.5 inches and was wearing through 16 inch tires in 4 - 6 months.

Really? I had my H&R sports which drop a little lower than 1.5", and by the time my tires were worn out (over a year later), they were already down to the tread bars anyway. Those tires lasted me almost two years total, and I never got an alignment with those tires either (until the very end when I got skunk2 coilovers). That's why I figure a camber kit is not worth it unless you have really bad camber. Sure, my inner edges of my tires were worn out more, but not too extreme, since I still got the full life of the tire.

Ya of course. The number of miles. My tires usually last 20k miles probably because I drive pretty aggressive sometimes, using those U-turn freeway onramps as a track.

hehe... out in front my my apartment complex there is this long straighaway, followed by a round-about. Its my personal race track, i try to see how fast I can take it lol. I feel bad though, I had these kids following me one day and they decided to try it too. They hit the curb and bent a couple wheels lol.... the words "DONT TRY THIS AT HOME" come to mind....
