This is something I would like to do in the future. How much were you able to do this for? Was it a kit?
It kinda sounds like your parking break is outta adjustment or something. Maybe the pad on your parking break needs to be changed?

You should be able to go in reverse and pull on the parking brake and it should adjust itself in. There are also adjustments on the handle itseelf under the console.

Yeah heard backing up and pulling it does something but if you want to stiffen up the tension just adjust the parking brake line. I think you can do it by taking off the cup holder/change tray and then find the GOLD nut that holds the line in place. Disengage the parking brake and tighten the nut then engage it and see how it feels. Just keep on doing that till it feels fine. Erm if you can't get to it through the cup holder just take the center console off. Hehe might as well get some NRG suspension shifter bushing while your at it :P You should adjust it for 3-5 clicks, as in when it starts to grab. Happy Ebraking! ^_^

I think you can somehow tighten the cable without taking the console off. Whenever my mechanic does my brakes, the cable (e-brake) is always tighter. I dont think he would know how to take off my center console anyways. So maybe its something in the rear

Yes it is something in the rear - hard ot explain but on the rear disc - there is actually a drum brake in there - keeps you from warpign your rotors after a hard run ( instead of using the calipers it uses a special drum brake that is only engaged when the ebrake cable is pulled - pretty smart actually) There is a little hole on it - and you just insert like a very small flathead screwdriver and flick upwards - kind of like a ratcheting thing inside (like I said hard to explain) and this tightens up the cable - give it a try. You will understand when you get in there- but yes - tighten up the cable at the center console as well.
