I just ordered KYB AGX to go w/ my Eibach Springs. Are the AGX's good? Some say yes, some say no. Explain on why you feel either way.
Thanks, Richard (97 ESi) http://www.ourformerselves.com/richard/main.htm

I have agx all around. I'm planning to put lumi's in the front though. The agx were designed wrong for our car. I have amild drop (progress, about 1.3") and they are fine for small bumps and stuff, but I have to drive through the land of construction and f'd up roads (Miami) so I always gotta have them set soft or else it feels like the whole suspension is going to fall apart sometimes.

Dude setting them soft will only cause them to bottom out worse on big bumps. I have my front set and 4 and my rears at 6. It rides much better that way to me then at2/4 or 3/5.
To me AGX aren't smooth riding for cruising but they are great where they need to be which is body control and dampening bumpy corners. In those two areas they are miles ahead of stock. Set at 2/4 they ride harder than stock but soak up bumps much better. I've had em at 4/8 and they still were perfectly streetable to me. If you want ride quality get koni yellows. To me AGX adjust easier and handle curves better. Koni's ride better for cruising but thats all they do better. I never drove a tokico equiped DSM.

I guess i'll try putting them harder then :), but I went from 2 to 1 recently and it feels better now. I don't mind mine at all for regular roads with the occasional bump. But we got like the most f'd up mayor here and the construction starts and is everlasting and its truly horrible, its worse than driving in Mexico if you've ever seen the roads there.
