I blew both my ball joints and had to pay to replace both of them. Could I get my money back by showing them the recall? They claimed it was because my car was lowered.

Take them to court. There was 2 recalls. 1st to inspect and replace IF needed and the 2nd to replace no matter what. They should have replaced them, period.

I paid to have both of mine fixed on my 96 and about a month later the recall came out. I called mitsubishi and they sent me a check for the refund.

I had my break when I pulled into a parking lot to go to work and thump my front end is sitting on the ground. I had Nitrous (which I hit off the line) and I am lowered 2 inches, and they didn't say anything. I called Mitsubishi headquarters and they paid for it without hesitation. I have the original job done at my mechanic, then Mitsubishi serviced it and gave me a 600 dollar refund that came in two days ago. They were extremely friendly and helpful.

Damn! I feel like a shit now. Im going over there later to day to give them a piece of my mind!

Damn! Service department is closed on Sat, I will have to save it for Monday:P
