check out the ANNOUNCEMENTS forum. they have a group buy going on for the neuspeed strut bar for $68, which is a good deal considering they discontinued it.

Road Race Engineering makes steel strut bars. They have a rear one, and a front one. Not sure if the front will fit right though because it was made for a turbo 4g63...

I called up RRE yesterday to ask them about their strut bars. The person I talked to said that the front upper bar would fit a non turbo. Same goes with the rear bar, it will fit. I know that both their front and rear bar are made of steel. I asked how tuff their bars were, and the guy said that there is no way it would bend under any driving condition my car could handle.
Perhaps someone else needs to call them and verify that both bars will fit a 2gnt. I am still skeptical.... I really want a good rear bar.

THE NEUSPEED BAR WAS ALSO MADE FOR THE TURBO'S ONLY BUT IT DOES FIT.
You guys that are buying them are going to have to buy spacers for the brake fluid container. The bar originally came with these and longer bolts. I don't know the sizes because I have had the bar for 2 years and don't have the other bolts. The Spacers are about 10 mm but getting the brake fluid container lid off is still a little hard but it works. Longer spacers may help with this.
