665, Question about changing front calipers to GSX Posted by guest, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
I have a 95 RS, with the stock brakes on it. I have heard the the GSX's have 2 piston calipers and they will bolt right up with the bracket. I would like to know if this is true, and if anyone has done it before. I am trying to find used ones in good shape to save a little money, where would be a good place to start looking for them. I would greatly apprecaite anyones responce.
Thanks,
Nick

diamond star specialties has an upgrade kit that includes AWD front calipers and rotors. you need the rotors too cuz they're like an inch bigger in diameter. something like $500 for everything. check them out at http://www.diamondstarspecialties.com

667, You could upgrade for much less Posted by DeanoD, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
Contact Dan from allmitsubishi.com and have him ship a set of good used calipers to ya. Make sure they include the mounting brackets, pad shims and hoses(they will probably have a used set of pads in there anyway). You could then buy a new set of GSX cross drilled or slotted rotors for $150 a set and a new set of pads and you are done. If you wanted to go the least expensive route, buy a set of used GSX rotors from Dan until you get the money for new ones.

668, Good Idea... Posted by Skrilla, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
...since I did it all myself for a little less than $500 on my own with rotors but I also purchased RRE's adapter for 11.75" rotors
