Sup guys,
what u guys think about the Kumho Ecsta SUper(?) tires? I got them from the tires and wheels package from tries discount.com 1/2 year ago. I was quite satify the wet and dry performance this half yr. However when I experienced the snow for the first morning thsi month, I can barely drive more than 20 miles and I feel a little slip even I braking very gentelly in every stop. Is the performance tires are suppose to be like that or my tires sux?

yea, you're not supppose to drive on snow with those kumhos. While they'll work fine on dry and wet grounds they weren't meant for use with snow or icy grounds. You should get some other dedicated snow tires or all season tires for snow conditions if you want to run the kumhos in the dry. Just be glad you didn't have a rwd car with those kumho tires on or you might not have made it home in the snow.

oh, and its not just your tires. Almost all performance tires weren't meant to be driven in the snow. The only few that I know of that can be used in snow are the pirelli p7000 and the michelin pilot sport a/s(not to be confused with the original pilot sports).

We have Nitto 450s on the Talon and we haven't had a problem in the snow at all(and we live in Colorado!) Of course they aren't ment to be winter tires, but considering, they have been great. We've had the same ones for 2 winters now and never had any trouble getting around. If you are looking for a performance tire that will get you around in snow, I would recoment the Nitto 450s. We love them :P

Now, on the Spyder we have Sumitoma tires and I don't suggest them to anyone that drives in snow or rain ;)
