5814, another slot and drilled question
Posted by jZa, Jan-19-02 06:02 AM
about drilled: do you all think that the weight difference is significant? I'm planning to do the gsx brake upgrade, so they will be a little bigger.
I've also heard of the cracking stories, is this caused by heat, cold, or just aggressive driving?? I don't plan to autocross or anything so.....

slotted: to those who have them, do the pads wear really quickly?
I have heard that they act like "cheesegrates" on the pads.

thanks

drilled all depends if the company drills them or molds them w/ the wholes. from what i've been told. as long as they are molded vs actually being drilled they will not warp or crack. but i know a few people that are really happy w/ just slotted rotors. havent heard of any stories about them eating brake pads
