5487, brake dust dirtying rims

i don't know if it's just my driving style, whether i brake to much or what, but my front rims get really dirty every week (i clean my car once a week). i was wondering if this problem can be avoided or eliminated when i upgrade my rotors and/or pads. what are your experiences? those of you that have upgraded your brakes, have you experienced less brake dust dirtying your rims? i'm looking to get some 17"s shortly, but i obviously want to keep them as clean as possible. thanks guys!

You should change your pads. I bought some axxis pads from coximports.com and they reduced the dust DRAMATICALLY.

Metal Masters INCREASE brake dust over stock usually. But it seems that it comes in batches, like some people will have some metal masters that don't leave much brake dust, and others will have a lot. But overall, metal masters have more brake dust than stock usually. It's a nasty orangish brown too.

well, i solved this problem but it is rather expansive...ceramic brake pads....they never squeal or leave dust and if they did, its white....the only downfall is that they are 80 bux a set...ok bye

I used to have the same problem when I had my stock wheels on. I dont know if it was the wheels that made the difference or what (17" 5 spoke...more air circulating all up in there or something) but now the problem is gone!

EBC green stuff pads are supposed to be dustless almost. I heard they kick ass.
