5281, Pro kits are way better than Sportlines
Posted by Semperboost, Dec-26-01 06:31 AM
So I had these Sportlines on my car for a while now sitting on some AGXs and 17s and wanted to change my springs with some pro-kits to raise up my car cuz the wife baby and front bumper don't agree with it. So I get em from pnoymahal go to the auto hobby shop on base and 4-5hrs later they are on. Install was pretty darn easy. Well it raised the car just a tad maybe 1/2 inch (duh sportlines 2" -prokits 1.5") My rear sits lower than my fronts ever since i installed those GST Lower Control Arms a long time ago. So I'm like okay - then i take it for a drive. One thing I noticed about the sportlines was there was alot of body roll into the turns and once in the turns the car would not be under control due to the hitting the bumpstops i think. Man, with the pro-kits there is alot less bodyroll and the car feels under control though turns while going over bumps. It absorbs the bumps better making me not hafta jerk the steering wheel everywhere. The ride is a little smoother but it's just springs; tires and wheels make the big difference. The increased spring rate is substantial enough so you can feel a difference.

i am getting mine put on today.
had a hard time convincing the mechanic bout putting in the $15 camber mod. he kept insisting that the alignment people should take care of it.

I got sportlines. They feel fine to me. I did get a bit pissed when the 215 45 17 tires scraped the fender wells tho.
