I can get 4 dunlop w-10's 205/40/17 for about $200 and I think Im going to do this instead of 45/17 just because of the $$. Will my speedo be off much and anything else I should know?

NAH, don't worry about the speedo, i was running 205/40/17's and the speedometer didn't seem like it was off at all. besides, don't you want that low profile look?

Remember, the less rubber you have, the less roll you'll have in corners....

I got 215/40/17 Toys and the Speedo is about mph to fast. They look REALLY thin when at stock height.

I plan on running 225/45ZR-17 I did the calculations to tire diameter and this was the closest to stock 14's

Same here, got tires and no wheels. I think I'm going to go with the Enkei Inazumas for $80 each 17x7. Well anyway if anyone wants to sell me theirs for that price :)

yeah, i've got new rims, but no tires...hahaha.
sorry to post this here....but to put the eclipse rear end on is simple - just remove your old (talon) rear bumper make sure you have an eclipse bumper and tailights, then you will need about 6 "L" shaped brackets. hold your bumper in place and mark where you would need the brackets, screw (or Weld) the new brackets on and then put your tailights on (wire plugs all fit the same)
It's alot easier than it sounds, and is fairly self explanitory once you get the old bumper off (pain in the ass)

205/40/17 is way too small. your car will look like it has small wheels and tires, and worse if it's not lowered. that is the size that honduh's use, because they have smaller fenders. our cars have larger fenders, so you can go with 225 or 235/45/17's.

I read an article on SCC that the NITTO NT555 extremes size 225/40/ZR17 is made specifically for the Eclipse. I have that mounted on a 17x7.5 rims. Looks Perfect.
