well, heres the deal. I took off pretty hard from a light the other day when this ass civic was revvin on me. I didn't hook up to well and wheel hopped until about 15-20mph. now when ever i get on the brakes real hard there is a single knock from the front passenger wheel area when the nose dives under braking. have i broken something? whats the deal? btw- I have done the ball joint recall 2x, and haven't needed anything replaced either time. also all suspension components are stock as you can see from the 4x4 look of my sig. ;)

I think i'm having the same problem, cuz i like to play around with my car too much. (i.e. Flooring it for no reason)

Since you were wheel hopping like crazy, I suggest you get some poly urethane motor mounts from energy suspension... search for their website.. they're cheap (17 bucks plus 8 bucks shipping for me), and from what other people are saying, they're a pretty easy install.

From my research, i think that'll fix the problem, because wheel hopping is the engine bouncing around, and you might have messed up your motor mounts.

I can't confirm it until I actually put the new motor mounts in, but it sounds reasonable. (I should get them by next weekend).

p.s. we both have undropped cars! *highfive*

no dood wheel hop is the constant loss and gain of traction, if your engine was so loose your wheels hopped you would have other serious problems. the mounts help get mroe torque to the ground which helps spin the wheels
