I got the recall notice in the mail. I took it today and got them replaced. Now I gotta find touch-up paint cuz it barely caught a corner going on the lift. they shoulda fixed it. FUCKERS! Anyways, the car rides better and noticeably better. Definately take the recall seriously.

I had mine done last Friday. I saw the damaged one and the new ones installed, so I made sure they didn't screw me over. They even checked and filled all my fluids, and fixed my pulley that was wobling a bit. They hooked me up, I was suprised. But I still think they are Satan!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally I got some mods: -NGK BKR5E-11 Plugs -Magnecore 8.5 Wires -AEM CAI(thanx to endless73)

I dunno and I doubt it, but it almost feels like they gave me new struts. The factory ones with lowering sucked, but they don't seem as bad. I give it a week tho.

Yeah, just tell them you got a notice in the mail and you need to set up an appt. Then go and have it done. I think they'll be able to tell if it has been done though, cause i think its the same ball joints, but with a sealer on them or something that doesnt make them fuck up anymore... -- Brad Rickard 98 GS HRC Stage V (nuff said)

I had mine replaced last friday. Took about 2hours to finish. Mine weren't in bad shape but they still replaced them anyhow. Had everything done at Carlsbad Mitsubishi. Kewl folks there. They even washed/vacuumed my damn car for me. I was really impressed with their customer service a whole hell lot better then Heller Mitsu. in Escondido. Never again will my car go back to Heller Mitsu if she must visit Satan.

They fully replaced mine, and apparently, it needed it. The car was starting to feel really rough. The notice I got said the bad joints had a boot that would crack and tear, causing water to get in and cause premature wear to the joints. I guess the updates have a better boot or something.

I am calling first thing in the morning, fuck I cant cause my A/F is reading lean for some fucked up reason.. it backfires real rich, I think while I had my engine apart these past few months I must have knocked a few wires loose or my o2 sensor went bad all of a sudden... Soon as I get that straightened out, I'll get mine replaced... I know they need it bad cause they klunk real bad, I'll stand there and watch them change them to make sure they dont fuck anything up. -- Brad Rickard 98 GS HRC Stage V (nuff said)

IF you know they are bad - DON'T DRIVE UNECESSARY MILES until you get them fixed. Would you like to have a wheel fold under the body the next time you go around a corner? If they are bad, that can make for a wild ride, cornering on 3 tires and a wheel sideways. GET IT FIXED.
