All I am sure about is to keep them away from electrical motors. They generate ozone which will break down the tire.
I'm not sure how to deal with dry rot.

Someone told me this trick, and I take no reposibility for anyone who tries to use it. In fact, i have no intention of doing it myself.
I was told you can get some wax and rub it over the rim so you get a nice thick coat, REALLY thick. Then get some enamel paint and paint over the wax. The wax will stop the paint from clinging to the rim while protecting it from the salt. Also the wax will stay hard while its cold and the paint will re-inforce the wax and you can play with the colors.

I keep mine in the garage under a tarp. I haven't looked at them since March. Hope they are ok now that I think about it :(

dry rot depends on conditions put them in a trash bag and store them off the ground they should be well protected that way. DO NOT USE TIRE SHINE. they claim to protect your tire they don't they lead to dry rot

any of them. they all will dry rot your tires. they are water based oils, the oil tears down butyl rubber and your sidewalls will start to crack and crumble like they're really old. just cover them and keep them dry
