Hey all, I went in for the ball joint recall once already and they told me every thing was cool and sent me on my merry way. Well now, about 6 mos. later I get another notice in the mail saying that I need to take my car in for the ball joint recall. WTF? is this normal? Should I go back in?

I received mine like 4 months after I heard about it on the board and got it replaced. I would take the recall in and see if you can get them to replace them just to be safe. I wouldn't want the same ball joints in that have caused damage to a few cars on this board due to wheels falling off!

the first time, they just checked em out. now they're just doin a full recall, and replacing them. get it done ASAP!!!

so is there another recall on them? if so i don't think i've gotten mine yet. that would be good if they did though!

Is there anyway you can tell your ball joints are going bad yourself??? like while driving or do you need to get under the car

if they're really bad, you'll be able to jack the car up, and move the wheel up and down from the play in the ball joint.

yeah my car has been through two of those recall thingies. The second time they replaced the actual lateral ball joint. Do this check under you car and if you see a really clean black lateral ball joint, it's like connecting to the arms and stuff, and it has a mitsu sticker on it then you've got the thing replace already. If not take it to the dealer ASAP.

you mean move the car up and down really easily or are they bad even if you have to put some weight on them to move the arms down???
