4042, Stiffer springs where? Posted by icjeclipse, Nov-14-01 10:22 AM
My new coil-overs came with stickers on them saying 400 and 500 . I am guessing these are spring rates, so which go in front and which go in the back? Thanks
And what are the spring rates on other coil-overs?

500 should go in the front and the 400 in the rear. The stiffer spring should go in the front to support the weight of the engine. Atleast thats how my Skunk coilovers where. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Nah, your right man, the larger springs go on the front to support the fronts extra weight.
