3532, Tired of the bumpy/harsh ride. I have a tire profile question Posted by Danny95ESI, Sep-09-01 10:56 AM
LAST EDITED ON 09-Sep-01 AT 04:00 PM (PST)Hey everybody-
anyone riding on 215/ 50's /17 tires? I currently have some z rated 215/45/17s . just wondering if riding on some 50's will make it feel a little more cushy or it won't make a difference.
of course it doesn't help that I have Eibach Sportlines either- so should I change to Eibach Prokit or get somewhat beefier tires or do both? can't stand the bumps anymore, getting too old for this sh*t.
thanks for the input.

danny,
do u have adj shocks? set em lower if you want a softer ride. otherwise get the higher 215/50s... im thinking about doing that too...

I had 45's under my car on 17's. Sportlines here too. My rear tires scraped on every bump. I finally went to 40's to give it a quieter and more stress free(no worries about cutting a tire) I'd say try adjustables. That's the sacrifice of lowering. The car was designed to sit at the height it comes factory. You chang everything by lowering, you just have to modify more than just springs. I am planning on Koni yellows or Tokico illuminas when I get som extra money and get done with my side skirts, interior, and AFX. Then I plan to beef up suspension and braking, and go turbo.
