3316, Coilovers and camber -- please help
Posted by Ryan_Hes, Jul-18-01 08:40 AM
I am getting new rims soon -- and I don't have money to correct my camber yet. Currently my car is lowered about 1.5 inches, and the camber is way off. If I raise my car to stock height with my coilovers still on, will the camber be off?? Logically, you would think that since the car is at normal height, and lowering is what causes bad camber, the camber should be corrected if the car is raised -- is this right? If I raise the car to stock height, will my camber still be off? --I can not afford to burn these new tires I'm getting. Please help.

Yes you will be able to return to stock height and the camber will fall back into alignment, but only if you marked where the stock height is on your coilovers. You have to use the alignment computer at your local shop to make sure. Never use your own eye to judge camber. I had to raise my car once, we put it on the machine and just kept raising each coilover untill it finally fell back into place. Good luck!

Can anyone tell me where I can get a camber kit for my fronts? Also, please don't just give me a website, I need an exact webpage or number. Also, how much do they run?

I have ingalls extreme camber kits all the way around, front and rear. These ones are more expensive then sprint but they are a much better quality (thats only my opinion though). I got mine from my local shop down the street, I live in Florida but they will send them out to you anywhere you live in the US so if you are interested I can get you the number. He gave me a pretty good price on them, much cheaper than anywhere I could find on the internet. Sorry I cant remember the exact price. Also try Ebay it amazing what you can find there for really cheap.

Sorry for replying so slow, had some business I had to take care of this weekend. I have some bad news about those camber kits though. I went to the shop yesterday and asked him about the kits and said I have some people interested in some. Problem is he stoped shipping out products you can only receive your products from picking them up at the shop. He didn't go into much detail as to why but he did tell me that he got fucked on a few deals recently with shipping, some kind of credit card fraud he said. Sorry to get your hopes up, please dont be mad at me. I will try to find a place on the internet that has resonable prices.

Again Iam sorry about that, please forgive me.
