i read in an earlier post that if i were to buy coilovers, i would have to grind the perch on my struts. what is the "perch" exactly that is being talked about on my strut. is it just the stock strut that has the perches? or is it even the aftermarket struts?

is it hard to grind off the perch?

or would it just be easier to go with some springs to lower my car instead.

You know when you look at a shock you have this ledge around the body of the shock that the springs sit on?

That's the spring perch..
