3254, on the fly adjustable suspension Posted by Erik Z, Jul-15-01 01:01 PM
hey guys,I have a question for all the minds out there who know something about those kits that raise and lower your car instantly. I'm not talking about the crazy pneumatic stuff that makes your car jump 3 feet in the air. More like inflatable bladders that raise the car to normal stock height in the city (because it's hard enough to drive with the STOCK clearance), and then lowers 2" instantly for racing or the freeway. Ya know what I'm talking about? The fast and the furious had some white car (I think a honda) that was doing that. I never see this stuff advertised with all the other gizmos in the aftermarket scene. Help me out...

I think you're talking about Air Bags. The white Del Sol on the F&F had it. I know it will probably run you around $1500, maybe more. The only place I would know where to get it would be a local custom shop....I don't think I've ever seen it on the internet.

ask Vector, he's got bags, they should be about $1500 for just the parts, no labor. also, Eclipse804's shop installs bags as well
When are they gonna fix this shit? http://www.geocities.com/blue2gnt

Actually we don't install air bags. But a lot of the cars getting work done do have them installed. We "might" be doing air bags in the future, but not right now. Generally a custom setup will be at LEAST 1000, but typically 1500 to 2000 just for the basics. Air bags are good for show, but tend to leak over time, and aren't great for the ride...
