a friend of mine is selling me his 17 inch rims.. slightly used for $600... this is what they look like.

he says he can hook me up with slightly used(very minimal, like new) set of Falken tires for 90 bucks.

what do you all think?
is it a good deal? or should i keep looking?

i am not THAT crazy bout the rim design (too simple maybe)
but if its a good deal i will settle. 690 for a this set of rims and tires...what say you?

p.s. you probably guessed i was on a very tight budget.

Rims are generally about 150 each brand new - but get the tires if you can -btw you never mentioned size. Off hand those are ROH rims - so the quality is good, but you can probably find better.

150 each is CHEAP for 17" rims. Depending on what brand name you get, some can easily be double that price. It seems that most popular packages are about 1200 for rims and tires, or 800 for 17" rims alone. I would say 690 is definitely a good deal if you like the design, and the tires are still good.

imho, I'd leave stock rims on my car before I put those things on there... Yeah they're cheap but look around dude, I'm sure you'll eventually find a better set of wheels around that price. Ever think of goin with a nice set of flashy chrome hubcaps :) jk.... grab the tires though!

I got a set (+spare) of 17" NICHE runners w/bald ass Falkens on them for $550. Originally he wanted a grand till x-mas came around and he needed $$ You'd be surprised how much people will go down when they're desperate.

so does anybody know if these are quality rims? or just your run of the mill discount rims?

yea, these are the tequila's on the car. they come in white,chrome or what i have, polished.
