Does anybody have POWER STOP cross-drilled or cross-drilled/slotted rotors? Im looking at purchasing them as an upgrade to my stocks rotors and wondering if anyone has had any good/bad experiences.

I have em. nothing really to report. I dont believe X-drilling does anything anyway. Nothing bad to report though. they dont rust and are inexpensive. X-drilling does look better than slotted to me.

So you dont think they help in braking?

Some might disagree (most experts dont) but if you put stock pads on X-drilled rotors your car will feel just as it did before. But at $70 each I'd still get em. OE are just as much and aren't cadium plated. I have metal masters now but I did have them with stock pads on my first set.

I was planning on getting Metal Master pads to go with them. I read some of the thinking of cross-drilled and slotted rotors on a POWERSTOP site. (http://www.fatinc.com/powerstop_compare.html) It seemed to make a lot of sense, what they were saying. Heat reduction, gas escape, longevity, warping, cracking, water braking, etc. Every car Ive owned has had brake problems. Now on my 4th car Im realizing its not bad luck, its my the way I drive. WhoÕd a thought! :) I drive fast and stop fast. I wear brakes out. So I am wanting to compensate for my driving (instead of the other way around :) ) by getting a sturdier braking system that wont brake the bank Ñ around $300 tops for this mod. Some people have suggested getting dual or four piston calipers. But thats getting too pricy for me after pads and rotors are included. But what I want to know is do they really work is it a $75 ea. gimmick? My wife would really like to know too, (she doesnt want me getting them if I dont have to) :)
