My rotor's are warped to hell, so I need new ones, but if I'm going to redo my brakes I'd like to do the whole deal, I really don't like single piston calipers, and I'd like to put discs in the rear instead of drums, I believe I can find most of the information on the rear disc conversions myself but I'm not sure which way I should go on the front's, I'd like to get dual piston calipers on the front at the very least and I'll probably get some greenstuff brakepads, I've got a couple of questions though.

1. are the gs,gs-t,gs-x calipers dual piston?
2. what's the difference between the gs,gst,gs-x brakes
3. when I do this, do I need to get larger rotors for the gs,gst,gsx calipers.
4. am I going to need to relocate the calipers. and if I do where do I get the brackets.
5. in changing from single to dual piston calipers do I need to change anything else, does the master cylinder need to be messed with.
6. how much is this going to cost me roughly for the front, and the front and rear together.
7. will the rear make a difference or just look better.
8. will all this fit under my stock 14's.

well thanks for any help. I love to use my brakes and I'm interested in autocrossing, and I have this fear of not having enough stopping power one day, so I want to know how to get alot of stopping power and not necesarily have to go with a brake kit, costing a couple of thousand dollars.

one other thing, how often do you have to replace calipers, should I worry if I get used ones, or should I get them from satan? thanks again.

No, only GS-X has dual caliper pistons. I know guys who have upgrades and got the parts from RRE.

RS, GS, GS-T all have the same front set up. GS-X has a 10.75" rotor, bigger than our ____" (9+"???) RS, GS, GS-T are all single caliper fronts. The rear single caliper "should" be the same on all models.

If you upgrade to the dual piston calipers you will need GS-X rotors (bigger)

GS-X calipers "should" bolt up? right guys?

People have doen the swap without a change of master cylander or proportioning valve so the set up can handle it.

Depends on how hard you look for parts and what deals you find.

I say they make a difference, some disagree. BUt I think it's worth it. There is a kit of all the parts you need from Dan Gill at allmitsubishi.com and instructions from Deano on the Mods page with the contact info.

No, to upgrade to GS-X calipers/rotors, you'll need 16" wheels

If you want another alternative, Baer sells a kit for ~$900 a 13" rotor with Corvette dual piston calipers for our cars. You will need 17" wheels for this.
