30470, Control arm bushings Posted by MitsuEclipseGS, Jun-04-07 02:34 PM
Ive searched around on here and on the web but I am uncertain if anyone sells the control arm bushing that attaches to the frame? Would I have to buy a master kit or do they sell them separtatly as the control arm kit. To me the contol arm ones looks like they only replace the one closest to the hub. I circled in the picture below which one I need. So any help would be great as I need to get this fixed asap. Thanks guys -Todd

I believe both prothane, and energy suspension make control arm bushings, you can buy just the rear set if you want from various vendors like concept illusions, and ultra rev.

But are they the bushings for the rear part of the front control arm? -Todd

Give RRE a call. They'll hook you up with what you need?

I've got two pair of red Prothane 64189 bushings NIB sitting here if you want to drive over and get them.
Please order new parts tomorrow to replace mine and we are good.

The Energy Suspension Master set(#5-18107)has that bushing package included. Also, they offer just the Front Control Arm Bushing kit which includes it(#5-3118).

I ended up ordering the Energy Suspension control arm kit. It should arrive on Thursday. Dave you can have the prothanes back. I think they might be to stiff for me. -Todd

The Prothanes aren't that bad. On just the lower control arms you will probably not notice any difference. I did about 90% of the master kit. All I am lacking are the bushings on the lower control arm that RRE suggested not installing, the upper control arm bushings because my upper control arms have spherical bushings, and the bushings on the stock shocks. The latter is just because I don't feel like pulling the shocks and springs apart to replace a couple bushings.
The ride is a little 'bouncy' because the suspension is much tighter. I'm sure if I would replace my stock shocks the ride would get better.
