30379, rim/tire combo and lowering Posted by idlook2, May-12-07 10:11 AM
Just curious as to what is the widest rim and tire that we can fit on our cars. I'm looking at 2 sets; the 1st, 18 by 8.5 with 215/35 and 225/40 tires. The rims have an offset of 35. 2nd: 19 by 8.5 with 33 offset. The suspension i would be going with is kyb agx and h&r sport springs. Does anyone have anything close to this? Clearance issues? Thanks Barry

HAve you looked at Skunk2 racing springs, I have a picture of this sweet 98 eclipse with Kyb and Skunk2 coilovers with 17's.
I'd rather go for 17's, my younger had 18 or 20 's on his 1gen Talon very rough ride
Its all about taste
