3037, KYB AGX? Posted by Deze2g, Jun-29-01 02:48 PM
LAST EDITED ON 29-Jun-01 AT 08:15 PM (PST)Hey i have weapon-r super tuner coilovers and JCW is having a crazy sale on KYB AGX, so i was wondering if i got the kyb's would i have to grind the perch? I don't have alot on knowledge in the suspension category, so what is the perch anyway? Is it the part that the springs sit on, that has like a groove in it for the end of the spring? If i need to grind it, how would i do this? The sale is real cheap, is it worth it? Also is it hazardous to grind the perch, will it effect the shocks in anyway? Sorry about the long post. Deze

Yes you'd have to grind them. the front perches (or is it the rear, cant remember) just knock off but the rear you have to get the power tools. Ground control makes coil overs specific for KYB stuts. they aren't really cheap but thats what I'd use to prevent modifications.

I hate my fuggin AGX. I try to keep them stiff in the back at #8 and after I drive around for a little bit.. they slip back down to #6. Peices of shit. Switchin out to Koni's soon.
