To start my setup is kyb agx and H&R sport at 4 wheels. My ride is shit for me... feel each hole in the road handle like shit... if I hit a hole at like 60mph I lost lot of control Ive tried several setting... now im at 3 front and 5-6 rear. Im sure my problem is from kyb agx... since im dropped about 1.7 in front and 1.4 in rear. Is it possible to swap to Koni yellow for front and keep my agx in rear ? Will it be a better combo ? Maybe the problem is from the springs ?

Im realy tired of my setup and want a smoother ride now.

Around 7k-10k km max. Last year replaced 2 balljoints and 2 tie-rod end.

If you're concern is from feeling everything in the road, blame it on the H&Rs - those have a very stiff spring rate. Go with something that has a softer spring rate, like sportlines - it feels smooth like stock.

the tokico illuminas and sport spring combo is cheap (400 bucks off ebay), adjustable 5-way, and has an amazing ride on anything below the 3 setting. advertises a 1.5" lower height, I'd say its right around there if not a couple 10th of an inch lower after settling in. The 1 setting is softer then stock but you really feel the car sway around corners.

You could always buy the kit, then sell your current setup to make up most of the cost.

Nice, Enekis' how much did you pay for those. They look very good on a DSM..

I actually run Koni Red's with a prokit. Shox.com will give you a pretty good deal on the combo. The ride is nice, better than I expected. My sig pic shows the drop.

Maybe I should try pro kit... a little less drop but road in quebec suck.. and ill probably take koni yellow.

I have had Pro kits and H&R springs.....both are the same drop and feel the same. I have Koni Yellows with the pro-kit and Illuminas with the H&R. I thought the H&R were more comfortable. I currently run the Koni's because i like the slightly more stiff suspension.

Long story short, what i am trying to say is that the AGX are junk and i have heard more than one person tell me that.

Yeah... Ill try to find a good deal on set of 4 koni and let a try with my h&r... but koni are expensive and if 2 koni in the front and 2 kyb at the rear would work... I dont know ill check for a deal !

From what Ive found for the price of the koni yellows you would be better off just buying the tein basic damper setup. reason being is that its been designed with a lower ride height in mind. The koni's are great (I have them), but IMO not nearly as good as a true coilover type setup where the spring/shock length has been designed to work together like the tein.

With the tein basic setup... is it good for street use ? Will it me more like a oem ride for smooth ? Price is good.. around 700$ Read some ppl opinions with them and they said its good for race but here road suck so is it a good choice ? Ill probaly lower 1.4" front and around 1.2 rear...

The tein basic is great for street/daily driving. The ride will be better than 90% of the lowering spring/shock combos or any sleeve type coilover setup.
Get the tein basic, you won't be disappointed.
