So I still have not gotten any good salutions to these problems. The main problem I need to have fixed, above all is the suspension. The car is hanging over the rear tires. I can't put on my new camber kit and have the camber corrected or even keep the tires from slamming into the control arm. I've had this post on here as well as talking to the guys I baught the struts and springs from (Extreme auto exceceries) They were NO help and suggested I put rubber coil spacers between the coils then have new camber kits installed according to the hiegth gained from chunks of rubber smashed between the spring. (these guys are suppose to be experts) I don't think this is sound advice. I'd really like some kind of advice for a real salution. I have tokiko blue struts and eibac pro springs the front end is just fine, looks and rides good but the back is all kinds of horrible.

So what you are saying is: The back is WAY too low?

This happened to me when they had installed the front springs in the rear, and viceversa.

Try to explain a little more what you mean by the 'back hanging over too low'. Are you saying the back sits lower than the front? If so, you probably installed the springs backwards.

If this is the case, when you reinstall the springs, be sure to follow the proper torque specs for all the bolted connections. I'd recommend checking out Corbins spring/strut install writeup.

I have the same setup and my ride height is fine. I've got 2 fingers of gap all the way around. Check what others have said. The thicker springs need to go up front and the smaller springs go in the back. Other than that I got no clue other than maybe some of the old hardware didnt make it back on? Bumpstops bushings on top and bottom of the top metal seat and the big rubber piece on the bottom of the metal seat that the spring pushes on :shrug

Edit: thinking about it that makes no sense to me if the springs were reversed the rear would actually sit up even higher because of the added strength. Do you guys agree? The front would be drooped and "hang over" the tires because of the lack of support for the weight of the motor. Right?

Installing the backwards would only cause the front to excesively low. The rear would be higher than normal. That can't be the problem. Did you buy the springs new or used?

no we told him like 2 threads ago to take it back to the place he got it installed. why he hasn't yet is beyond me... whatever.

As stated installing them backward would cause the rear to be higher. I have Tokico blues and eibach sportlines which sit the car lower, and I have no clearance issues. Sounds to me like the springs are done.

you want advise.....take an English class and typing class, one of the basic ones at your local junior college.


You need the camber kit installed to correct the rear camber issue it sounds like you have.

Get an ingalls rear camber kit and you will need the kit that adjusts to 3 degrees. Install the kit with the camber kit in the maxed out position which will be 4 washers behind each bracket bolthole and take it to an alignment shop to have it adjusted correctly.

That's exactly what I thought too, besides the fact that they only fit on the tokiko blues one way. If you swap front and back they won't fit; the fronts will be to small to sit around the damper (shock), correctly. Also I matched the front and rear part numbers to find out which was which before I got started installing them. As well as all the bushings and bumpstops were put back (no spare or missing part). I noticed a new post car knock's on front driver side when stopping just before complete stop. My does that as well and also when starting quikly from a stop. I haven't found out what that is and I've replace my trans-axles, tie-rods inner and outer shocks, springs, brakes, brake pads, blead the brakes, replaced the engine, fly-wheel, tires, exhuast, clutch, motor mounts, and tranny. : {
